" The limits of my language means the limits of my world"

― Ludwig Wittgenstein ―

Are you ready  to speak the language of the Spanish World?

Learning a language cannot be limited to having a good memory and remembering the meaning of all the words or applying the grammatical structures. It is more than that! Speaking a language implies exploring, traditions, gastronomy, history and a whole culture of a foreign world. In this opportunity I encourage you to learn the language that is spoken in 22 countries by more than 500 million people in the world.

If your answer is "yes"

I want to let you know that I am Colombian woman who is always ready to share her experiences, stories, and culture with others. On this occasion, I want to share with you my mother tongue: Spanish.

I have traveled to  México, Panama, Ecuador, Perú, Argentina and Uruguay and I have lived in the US. So, I know very well what it means to learn a new language or getting to know a culture different from your own.

I am Profe Lau and I have many experiences to tell, but I really want to get to know you and guide you to learn, practice and improve your Spanish.

What can you expect from Profe Lau's lessons?

In this video, you'll get the chance to dive into the classroom experience with Profe Lau. In just 7 minutes, by increasing the audio speed, you can watch a sample of the 60-minute lesson with one of Profe Lau's students. So, feel free to enable Spanish subtitles or decrease the speed so you can better understand!

The lesson begins with a short and engaging icebreaker conversation, followed by an in-depth explanation of the various indicative preterites. To illustrate them, a conversational topic is introduced that prompts the students to discuss past experiences, utilizing the necessary past tenses (pretérito indicativo). This approach maintains a conversational focus throughout the class, and as errors arise, they are corrected and  explained through practical exercises designed to clarify their usage.
